DDEDIT command
The DDEDIT command is used to edit single line text, dimension text, definitions of attribute and functional control frames.
Command Access:
Menu : Text > Edit
Command : DDEDIT
Shortcut: select text object and right-click, and then select "Mtext Edit"

According to different text types, it will display different edit methods.
1. When specifying the TEXTED system variable to 0 or 2, texts created by TEXT command will not display "Text Formatting" dialog box, but display the in-place Text Editor without ruler.
2. Texts created by MTEXT command will display in-place Text Editor.
3. Attribute definitions will display "Edit Attribute Definition" dialog box. The attribute definition is not a part of block definition.
4. Function control frames display "Geometric Tolerance" dialog box. The DDEDIT command will not stop prompting until press ENTER.
Undo : Return back to the previous value of text or definition. Users could give up editing by this option.
