Function Description:

The XFADECTL system variable is used to control the fade degree in reference that editing in-place, this setting only has effect on objects that are not editing in reference.

This system variable could control the fade degree of alternate object representation that displayed in a dimmed state, such as annotative object alternate scale representations.
